Carson’s Blog

I kind of understand why President Ahmadinejad would want to restrict Facebook and Twitter. With all the corruption revolving around him, he doesn’t want there to be an organizeed attack or something set up. I am glad that people can’t do that in the U.S. because many people use Facebook and Twitter every day. I think that we are lucky to have as many rights as we do. Many people don’t, and those people in my mind have pretty bad lives. I think that more countries should have the freedoms that the U.S. does.

I hope to have straight A’s next year and all through school. I also hope that I have a great summer filled with fun. I hope to do a 360 wakeboarding. I also hope to do well in the classes that I am taking at MSU next year and in 9th grade. I hope to make new friends and keep the ones that I have right now. I hope that the party at the end of the year that I am having is going to be good with a lot of people showing up. I hope for a lot of things, and hopefully they happen. Seeya!

These challenges have improved my communication skills by helping me know what to say on a blog. I have learned what type of language is good to use. Blogging could be important to our school’s curriculum because it teaches us to communicate to the rest of the world. We can learn what is appropriate to say on a website/blog. This could also teach us about the world and the different types of people. I would take part in another challenge because it is exciting to know that people around the world are listeneing to what you are saying and are going to your blog.

As everyone is probably happy about, the school year is almost over. So, my teacher, Mr. Moore is having us answer some questions about this year. The first question was how was this school year for me, and my answer is okay. The year went by so fast, I can’t believe it. I had a good time in ski club. There was some bad parts of the year, however. The second question was what was my biggest surprise. I would say how fast the year went bywas mine. Next, the achievements that I was most proud of were how well I did on the SAT, going to math day, getting straight A’s ( I hope to finish that way), getting accepted into Interlochen, and getting accepted to take classes at MSU next year. I can not think of a wackiest moment of the year. I just don’t think that there were any big wacky moments. What I will miss most in the seventh grade is the nice teachers. Almost all my teachers have been nice. What I look forward to in eighth grade is more fun projects. I also look forward to at the end of eighth grade having a huge party and hopefully inviting my whole school.

At my school, We have a group called the green team that tries to make our school “green”. There are recycleing bins for paper and plastic in many of the rooms and also in the lunch room. There are many signs all around the building that express recycling points and pictures of the green team working. The green team consists of teachers and students from all grades. If more people were like the green team, we would live in a less polluted world and have more trees and other resources. Everybody recycle!

I think that volunteer workers are very nice people. Not many people care about helping others unless they get something in return. How volunteers drive themselves to do what they do is amazing. I have seen people cleaning the highway. I have never done volunteer work, and I don’t know if I ever will. If more people volunteered, I think that the world would be a better, nicer place.

My third and final sports topic is major sporting events. Watching the superbowl or the national championship with friends and family is a lot of fun. Everyone has fun, and there is always good food waiting to be eaten.
